Upcoming Events:
November 21, 2024, 6:00 pm at Meadowlark Brewing in Billings
On November 21, Meadowlark Brewing will host a forum with Meadowlark owner Travis Peterson, Our Montana Field Program Director Mike Penfold, Yellowstone River Parks Association (YRPA) Executive Director Carolyn Sevier, and MEIC Sustainable Communities Planning Advocate Laura Collins to speak about brewing, the importance of clean water, and policies and practices that help protect this precious resource.
We’ll have time for your questions, whether it’s about Meadowlark’s brewing processes, what makes the water around Billings unique, and how policies made at the state level can impact what you’re drinking.
About Meadowlark Brewing:
Meadowlark’s creation came about like any other American dream, it was just that, a dream. Our founder, Travis, an avid craft beer “researcher,” moved home to Sidney, Montana in 2010 to help with the other family business Sidney Red-E-Mix, which is when the real encouragement from his parents came into play. Sidney, a small town in Eastern Montana was ready for some locally made beer. As with the rest of the country, Sidneyites, Sidneyers, the people of Sidney, were becoming more aware of and thirsty for craft beer. Travis and family saw this new “thirst” very inline with their new goals and dreams, and so the journey began.

Clarks Fork Yellowstone Partnership:
created from the dinner table discussion of two good friends who love the Clarks Fork River and the way of life in the valley. The idea quickly grew with the support of local recreationists, conservation agencies and the agricultural community. We were awarded 501(c)(3) nonprofit designation in June 2022, and came to encompass both the Clarks Fork River drainage and the Rock Creek drainage later that summer. Although we are in the beginning stages of our development, historically watershed organizations have flourished in Montana for more than 25 years. In many areas across the state, these organizations have facilitated groundbreaking conservation strategies, and helped to build trust and discover shared values within diverse communities. The geographical area of the Clarks Fork River watershed is large, and encompasses a diverse group of stakeholders. As a non regulatory, community-driven organization, we promote communication and partnership across that stakeholder base to help promote and preserve stream ecology. https://cfypwatershed.org/

Neptune’s Brewery is named after the Roman God of the sea. The God’s name comes from several words combined to connote the marriage of heaven and earth. In modern times, this might be interpreted as meaning of the best of both worlds. Our motto is Drink Like God, means drink the best! Gods, although sometimes viewed as angry and vengeful, are also looked upon as strong leaders and caretakers of their people. We prefer to emulate the community caretaker qualities of the Roman deity. We strive to be viewed by our employees as a great place to work as well as being a community gathering center, where we support and enhance our local culture. https://www.neptunesbrewing.com/
